The 70th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade will welcome the holiday season by celebrating Houston, families, community and the great state of Texas. The 2019 parade begins at 9:00 AM and will feature new balloons and floats, along with original float entries from local artists, and a nationally known Grand Marshal.

The parade will proceed through downtown Houston along a route totaling 20 city blocks. The event is televised in Houston and other syndicated markets, including San Antonio, Bryan, Waco, Beaumont, Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi and Dallas.

The 70th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade is produced by the Mayor's Office of Special Events. Seating along the parade route is free and open to the public, with a limited number of reserved seats available.

• Westbury High School Marching Band, Houston, TX

Bands traveling to Houston for the annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade can take advantage of numerous sites and attractions in the Houston area, including:

• Downtown Aquarium Restaurant - Your underwater adventure begins as you are seated around a 150,000 gallon aquarium.
• Houston Museum District - An association showcasing the artistic, scientific and educational resources of Houston.
• Uptown Holiday Lighting - On Thanksgiving evening, thousands of spectators gather along Post Oak Boulevard for the annual Uptown Holiday Lighting.
• Kemah Boardwalk - This destination just 20 miles from downtown Houston offers food, fun and lodging.
• Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier - This pier located 50 miles from downtown offers rides and amusements literally over the water.
• Moody Gardens Festival of Lights - The holiday magic glistens with more than a million lights and dozens of festive scenes.
