Sneak preview of Miami University's show for Macy's Eleven of America's best marching bands are headed to New York City for the 85th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Bands start their experience with overnight run-throughs for the NBC camera crew, then forward-march the parade route before finally performing their drill routine in front of Macy's near the
end of the route. This clip shows a recent run-through of what Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) will perform for the NBC telecast.
Documentary goes inside Rhythm Generation The creative team behind From The 50 Yard Line is putting the final touches on another powerful
documentary, this time focused on winter percussion. Rhythm Generation is slated for release in November 2011. The film presents
personal stories of students from Forsyth Central HS (Cumming, GA), Dartmouth HS (MA), Centerville HS (OH) and Ayala HS (Chino Hills, CA), as they prepare for the
WGI Percussion World Championships. View the

HMKG among Europe's finest marching units Britain's Royal Couple, William and Kate, will be attending the Calgary Stampede Parade on July 8. It reminds us of

Minnesota bands elevate the art of street marching Minnesota's summer parade season has more than 25 competitive events culminating with the Vikingland Band Festival parade marching championship. This video from 2006 features
Park Center High School's Cirque du Soleil show, which earned awards for first place, best color guard and best winds in the large school class, and was just 3-tenths from the
overall Grand Champion award.

Bergenfield Marching Band featured on TODAY When hosts of the NBC Today Show were given a chance to participate in an activity they always wanted to experience, Ann Curry said her dream was to play bass drum in a marching band.
Curry got her chance thanks to the 198-member Bergenfield H.S. Marching Band from Bergenfield, NJ, in this segment which aired January 20.
